The CS for Education, CS George Magoha noted during the release of these results that the selection for Form 1, the secondary schools where these pupils will undertake their 4-year program was underway and today, the exercise is complete. Unlike previous years where learners had to way for calling letters from their selected secondary schools, this year learners can check for themselves where they have been placed to undertake their secondary school education. So how do you check which high school you’ve been selected to join? Well, below is the simple procedure for checking this.
On your phone, Open the messages app and create a new text.Type in the KCPE index number as the body.Enter 22263 as the recipient and send the message.Sit tight and wait for a notification
You should then receive your Form 1 placement details shortly. This procedure should work irrespective of which carrier you’re on in Kenya so Safaricom, Telkom, and Airtel Kenya users can all use this procedure. Also worth noting is that, just like the procedure for checking your KCPE results, this Form 1 placement service attracts a charge of Ksh 25 per text so unsure you have at least that much in terms of credit before attempting. Pupils will still receive their calling letters from their selected secondary schools and this document will include the requirements before joining among other necessities like school fees and applicable fees so be on the look out for that. Understandably, this is a stressful transitional period for learners and parents alike and as the limelight slowly fades on these pupils as they move into their next phase in life, students that sat for their KCSE will soon be on the spot.
